Grace and Landon’s love story may have only started in 2022, but their knowledge of each other dates back more than ten years.

After a casual friendship in junior high and high school, they lost touch as they both lived their adult lives during college and those few years after, with neither of them being on each other’s radar. Landon moved to Jonesboro to attend Arkansas State, while Grace completed the teaching program at SEMO.

It wasn’t until 2022, when a buddy planted a seed in Landon’s ear (thanks, Brandon!) to try and reach out to Grace after all these years, that the two rekindled a friendship.

Grace tried to play it cool, but she was giddy over Landon from the very first Snapchat. Until it had been one too many days of snapping and she had to ask Landon if he was too scared to ask for her number (LOL)…turns out, they both still had each other’s numbers saved from those awkward middle school days!

It only took about two weeks of texting for Landon to convince Grace to meet him at their halfway point, which just so happened to equate to Woody’s in Caruthersville. Despite the tornado warnings for the entire Bootheel, Grace and her best friend Hannah loaded up in the monsoon, and got there just in time to have a few blisters while waiting out the storm.

That night is all it took to seal the deal - the rest is history. Landon would be moving back from Paragould and Grace would soon move from New Madrid, because they knew they didn’t want to leave each others’ sides. Now, almost three years later, they’ve bought a home and made a life together in Caruthersville.

Their favorite part about their relationship is that it has God’s hands all over it, and they can’t wait for God to place his hands on their marriage as they tie the knot on March 22nd!
